Historical film about the youth of Peter The Great based on Alexei Tolstoy's novel "Peter I".
When the Czar Alexei 1676 dies, his son Peter still a child. The mother fled with him before the power struggles at court, while his sister over the regency. The film depicts the way up to Peter's takeover of power. A great historical images arc, the situation in Russia at the end of the 17th Century and portrays is noticeably trying to present salary.
