Masha is a poor student who lives in a city far away from her home town. With insufficient money for a flat, Masha is forced to find an alternative if unconventional solution to her accommodation problem. Her father, Mikhail Andreevich, locates some empty apartments on the internet which Masha then breaks into and squats in until the owners return.
This unusual lifestyle suits Masha, who likes its spontaneity and excitement and, as for Mikhail Andreevich, he lost his grip on reality a long time ago when his wife left him after she could no longer live with his already peculiar behaviour. Preferring his own virtual world, Mikhail Andreevich sees Masha’s exploits as an exciting computer game and left to her own devices, Masha’s addictive lifestyle begins to spiral out of control. However, Masha is becoming careless, and her plan is about to fail when the owner of the flat she is occupying returns home early…
