When Ann is awoken by a telephone call in the middle of the night, she leaves her house, gets into a waiting car and is never seen again.
The police are called and after a long search, they find the car with traces of blood but no sign of Ann. Her friend Alick tries to piece together Ann’s last few days and soon discovers that her boyfriend Egor was unfaithful to her. Believing that this might somehow be linked to her disappearance, Alick confronts him, however, when Egor is found dead in mysterious circumstances soon after, Alick finds himself under suspicion.
While the police continue their investigation, Alick is anxious to clear his name and when Ann’s mother turns up, her strange behaviour suggests that perhaps she had a hand in her daughter’s disappearance. As it turns out, Alick’s suspicions are correct. Ann’s mother arranged for her daughter’s abduction while she made a claim on Vadim Andreevich’s inheritance. Alick rescues Ann from her captors and reunited, they are free to begin a new life together.
